Despite the fact that the world we live in is designed with a spectrum of color, Black & White has intrigued the world of visual art since the early developments of photography. Black & White captures people's tendency of looking at life from one extreme to the other, exploring the shades of gray to be found between.

Black & White Contest 2015

We're inviting you to join us in exploring Black & White (B&W) and illustrating what your perception of B&W is. The Black & White contest is the first this year of a series of art contests that Illumination Gallery will be organizing. We're especially seeking to support emerging artists and that is why the contest is international, open to anyone, anywhere.

Prize-

Prizes worth $1500 are up for grabs for winners of the Black & White Contest. True to our mission of supporting emerging artists, prizes include handbooks on marketing, art supply kits, and online exhibitions.

Exposure-

A word to the wise in the art world is: get noticed by entering art competitions. We're taking that a big step further by making sure you get noticed! Our contestants will be featured in our online gallery and interviewed on blog posts shared across our social network accounts. Your work will also be sent to our private group of Illumination Gallery patrons. By entering the contest, you increase the chances of advancing your art career.

Practice-

A large part of developing yourself as an artist is staying original and diverse. Illumination Gallery organizes contests to keep artists inspired and to open up their practice to new themes and possibilities. We're inviting you to not only participate in this contest, but to join our list of artists and receive the latest information on competitions and opportunities.
